Lerum expands elderly care cooperation with Humana
After having submitted the best tender, Humana has been entrusted to operate another nursing home in the municipality of Lerum. The company already operates Hedegården nursing home and has now also been awarded the contract to operate Riddarstensgården.
Riddarstensgården is a nursing home located about one kilometre from the centre of Lerum, close to woodland and nature, and was opened in 2003. The company’s contractual responsibilities include providing care, rehabilitation and service to the users of Riddarstensgården. The municipality will be responsible for the healthcare services carried out by nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
Riddarstensgården is a dementia care home at present and can accommodate 40 persons with dementia.

Humana was considered to have submitted the best overall tender. The takeover will be conducted in close collaborative planning with the municipality and union parties. Humana will begin the process of immediately informing the residents, relatives and staff as soon as the award decision becomes final.
