Sören Mellstig proposed as new Chairman of the Board of Humana
Ahead of the Annual General Meeting 2019 the Nomination Committee of Humana AB has decided to propose Sören Mellstig as the new Chairman of the Board.
The Chairman of the Board, Per Båtelson, has after eleven years as a board member, including five years as its Chairman, declared that he is not available for re-election. The Nomination Committee has therefore decided to propose to the Annual General Meeting the election of Sören Mellstig as the new Chairman of the Board.
Sören Mellstig is Chairman of Cellavision, Ellevio and Rkliniken, and Industrial Partner and co-founder of Impilo, one of Humana's major shareholders. Sören Mellstig was previously CEO of Gambro, held managerial positions at Akzo Nobel and served as CFO and Vice President of Incentive. He was also Chairman of Trelleborg, Apotek Hjärtat, Aleris, Ferrosan Medical Devices and Textilia. Sören Mellstig has a Bachelor of Applied Science, B.A.Sc. in Business Administration and General Management from Uppsala University. He was born 1951 and is a Swedish citizen.
The Nomination Committee prior to the 2019 AGM comprises Lloyd Perry, appointed by Argan Capital (through the company Air Syndication SCA), Chair of the Committee, Alexander Kopp, appointed by Incentive AS, Katarina Hammar, appointed by Nordea Funds Ltd, Sven-Erik Zachrisson, appointed by Zirkona AB and Per Båtelson, Humana’s Chairman of the Board. The Nomination Committee’s members represent shareholders of circa 48 percent of the total votes in the Company.
The Annual General Meeting of Humana AB will be held on Thursday 9 May 2019 at 13.00 CET at Lindhagen Konferens at Lindhagensgatan 126 in Stockholm.
