Humana builds a new elderly home in Vallentuna
Humana continues to invest in elderly care, building a new housing unit in Vallentuna. The construction is carried out together with well renowned real estate company Åke Sundvall.
Humana has entered into an agreement with Åke Sundvall for a new own managed housing unit in Vallentuna. The elderly home will consist of 60 apartments in a four-level property. The construction is planned to start by the second quarter of 2019 and will open during the fourth quarter of 2020.
The housing unit in Vallentuna is Humana’s sixth elderly home under own management.

- Åke Sundvall has an ambition to build houses that add something extra to the areas where we are present, increasing quality of life for the residents. We are building accommodation for people in different stages of life, but this is Åke Sundvall's first project in the elderly care sector and therefore very important, Martin Sundvall, CEO of Åke Sundvall Byggnads AB, said.
The elderly home will be located in Åby Ängar in Vallentuna and the construction will include a solar energy solution, a greenhouse and a rehab facility. The unit will offer a quiet and green outdoor environment with several patios as well as opportunities for exercise. The housing unit will also have a large roof terrace and several indoor common areas.
