Humana sells parts of its property portfolio in Sweden

Humana has entered into an agreement with Hemfosa Fastigheter regarding the sale of 16 properties in Sweden. The purchase price for the portfolio, which will be through a sale-and-leaseback transaction, amounts to SEK 135 million.

In order to further focus on providing high quality care services and to enable future investments and further development of existing operations, Humana has entered into an agreement to sell part of its property portfolio in Sweden to Hemfosa Fastigheter. The sale, which consists of 16 properties in ten locations in Sweden, entails Humana selling the properties and then concluding an agreement with Hemfosa Fastigheter to rent the properties. The average contractual length of the rental period for the properties is 13.6 years and the additional annual rental cost amounts to just over SEK 9 million. The purchase price is SEK 135 million. The properties were transferred at the end of June 2017.
