Jönköping chooses Humana Omsorg to operate Kavlagården

Humana Omsorg, part of the Humana Group, today was notified about a contract award decision to operate Kavlagården in Jönköping, starting on 1 December 2011. Kavlagården comprises 46 apartments organised in five units. The contract also includes responsibility for health and medical care up to the nurse level. Humana Omsorg has since previously had responsibility for elderly care and LSS assisted living in southern Sweden.

Humana Omsorg has been awarded a contract to operate Kavlagården in Jönköping, starting on 1 December 2011; this comes as a result of Jönköping Municipality’s procurement process. Kavlagården comprises 46 apartments organised in five units. Two of the units, comprising 18 apartments, are group living homes for people with dementia. The contract includes responsibility for health and medical care up to the nurse level.

Human Omsorg received the top score in the evaluation performed by Jönköping Municipality in its procurement process and won on the basis of quality. Takeover of the operation will take place in close coordination with Jönköping Municipality, which currently operates Kavlagården. Humana Omsorg will initiate its work at Kavlagården by immediately informing the residents, their families and personnel.
